The Mayne 36-Inch Rectangle Polyethylene Fairfield Window Box features an attractive double-frame exterior with decorative molding on the top and bottom. This window box planter is designed with an innovative sub-irrigation system, which reduces the frequency of watering by storing water in the base of the planter. The built-in water reservoir encourages healthy plant growth by allowing roots to absorb water as they need it from troughs in the bottom of the planter. That means you'll spend less time tending your plants and more time admiring your blooms. This planter is finished on all sides so you can even place it on your patio or porch.

This attractive rectangular planter is made of high-grade polyethylene, which is a durable, low-maintenance material for all-season use. The planter looks like wood but requires none of the maintenance that outdoor wood planters need, such as painting and re-sealing. The planter comes with wall mount brackets that attach it to the outside of your window. If you wish to mount the planter on a deck rail, you will need to order a deck rail kit, which is sold separately.

Well worth the money! They are sturdy, attractive and well priced. I painted mine to match my trim color, and they turned out beautifully. If you are hesitant because of colors offered, they are easily painted and look like I payed top dollar for custom planters! And bonus, I received them within 3 days of placing my order!

These window boxes have a beautiful design. They do look like plastic but, I painted them with a high gloss white exterior paint and they look very high end now. They need the paint for that! Otherwise I am very happy with them and look forward to less watering and beautiful flowers.

Q1: Can it just be put on gravel instead of as a window box

A: Yes, this planter can be used free-standing and should work on your gravel.

Q2: Does this box come with mounting brackets or braces?

A: The 36inches Window Box comes with wall mount brackets.

Q3: Can these planters painted red?

A: These planters can be painted, but because they are made of polyethelene, a paint designed specifically for plastic will need to be used. Krylon Fusion is an excellent paint for polyethelene products and it is available in several colors and finishes. However, if you decide to paint the window box, your warranty will then be void.
