It's constructed with a sturdy tubular steel frame, four shelves, and a removable clear PVC plastic canopy. The full-length zippered door rolls up and ties at the top for easy access to the shelves. Because the four shelves are made with a metal grid pattern, your seedlings and tender root cuttings will be able to drain properly at all times.

    I bought this because I live in a climate that gets quite cold in the winter. I wanted to keep growing my herbs in the winter. This keeps in humidity (with a pan of water on the bottom rack) and keeps my cats uninterested from chewing. I have my aloe vera and little started lemon trees in there as well. All seem to be doing OK until summer comes around and I can get them back in natural sunlight and weather. I plan to start seedlings for tomatoes in the spring too.

    It was fine at first, but it's not meant to be outside. One summer/fall and the plastic is cloudy and fragile. Takes 2 people to move it because it will fall apart unless the pieces are glued together. If you use epoxy, you can't dismantle for storage. Not worth it when it ends up in the garbage after the 2nd season.

        I just received my mini greenhouse yesterday and couldn't be more thrilled with it. From some of the reviews I was expecting the quality to be much more inferior than it is. I think it's actually fairly solid for the price. And it is really nice looking, too.

        The frame is a mix of mostly steel with some plastic. I was actually expecting it to be all plastic for the price, so I was pleasantly surprised that most of the structure is metal. The amount of room in it is what really got me excited. I'm 5'5" tall and the peak of it is about as tall as I am.

        I have a small garden, about 100 square feet and it will be perfect to start my vegetable seedlings in so I can get a head start this spring. It's probably not the quality that you'd get with some of the greenhouses that are hundreds and thousands of dollars. But we're not in a position to spend that kind of money right now so I thought I'd start with a small growhouse and see how much I actually use it.

        I know some people said it blew over in a wind so I'm planning to weight it down on the bottom shelf with some bricks or rocks and be careful with it. I'm going out of town for a couple weeks so I'll put it in the garage and not leave it just sitting out in the weather while I'm gone.

        I think with a little care, this could last awhile. I'll watch out for bad weather and bring it in if I need to. It's not heavy at all and could be easily moved.

        I'm so excited about it that I may even buy another one so I can have herbs and lettuce going all winter. So, thank you to this company for offering a good product at a reasonable price. It is very much appreciated.

          This is a Christmas gift for my daughter. I have not opened the box, but I have one and I love mine. My daughter had one previously but the wind knocked it over and the plastic ripped and couldn't be repaired, so this is a replacement. She will love it!!!!
